Wednesday 8th October 2008 - Daddy had a nasty shock when he came to see me this morning. There were lots of doctors and nurses doing all sorts of different things around my bed! Daddy was very worried and was just about to run into my special room when he heard my nurse say "Hi! We're over here...!" Silly daddy didn't realise I'd been moved from my special room as I was being prepared to be moved onto the normal ward upstairs!
Daddy looked much better today and was even happier when he realised I was being moved upstairs. He said it would mean he and mummy could come and see me whenever they liked now and could even sleep in a bed next to my cot! I'm really pleased because I miss seeing mummy and daddy sometimes when they're not allowed in to my special room for various reasons that I don't understand.
A man brought me some more cards today and I got 2 special presents and Bee Be came back too! I haven't seen Bee Be for a very long time (since the loud bang I think) and I was really pleased to see her and gave her big cuddles and smiles to let her know how much I'd missed her. I also got a new teddy bear friend who is nearly as big as me and very cute (but daddy says not nearly as cute as me) and a really nice In the Night Garden book. Daddy said all mummy's friends from somewhere called Bounty got them for me so I want to say thank you very much! The cards I got were from Becki and Carrie, Jay, Rob & Brooke, Sue & Adam and finally Donna, Craig, Ryan, Amber & baby Lewis.
After a little wait I was taken to my new room on a place called Ladybird ward. It's much bigger than my old room and has a tv (that doesn't work) and a bathroom and a bed for mummy or daddy to sleep in! Daddy can even use his laptop when he isn't cuddling me and is writing tonight's update on it right now while I'm watching him. I also saw mummy on it a bit earlier but it was very strange because although it was like she was in my room with me and daddy, she was very small and wasn't here at all! I got very confused and tried to hide under Bee Be but when I looked up she was still there so I smiled a little bit to let her know I'm ok and miss her and love her lots and lots.
My new nurse has told daddy that I will be in London until 20th October at least. He said that was when I would stop my anti-biotics and they could then concentrate on getting my Warfarin levels more stable so I could go back to Norfolk. I can't wait to get home so hope the next few days go quickly!
I was a bit grizzly this evening so daddy cuddled me lots and I fell asleep on his shoulder. I haven't done that for a very long time and it felt really nice. Then daddy put me back in my cot and I woke up and realised I was very hungry! Hopefully daddy will let me have a bottle even though I didn't want one earlier today.
I'm going to have some milk then go to sleep. Thank you again to everybody from Bounty and to everybody that has sent me a get well card xx
