Sunday 12th October 2008 - Mummy woke up a few times in the night, just like daddy did when he stayed, because some of my machines alarms kept going off. I'm used to them now so they don't wake me up so I had a good nights sleep... until 6am when my nurse came and stuck ANOTHER needle in my foot! I wasn't impressed so woke mummy up again by crying lots until my nurse had gathered enough of my blood to do the tests they need to do.
It was really nice having mummy and daddy with me again so we all had to share cuddles and played lots of games together. Mummy's hair is different from daddy's and it makes me laugh a lot when she shakes it and it moves. We all play a really fun game when mummy pretends to be asleep. Daddy tells me to shhh, but I can't help giggling, and then daddy pats mummy's head and she wakes up! It's really funny and we played it lots today.
I had some more creamed rice breakfast before my milk and wasn't sick again. I'm really enjoying eating my dinners again and was really looking forward to tea tonight because daddy said I could wear, I mean eat, some chocolate pudding!
My doctors came to see me again and said I was looking much better than I was a few days ago and that my weight had stayed the same over the past few days, which they were pleased about because it meant I hadn't lost anything. They told mummy and daddy that I should be stopping my anti-biotics on 22nd October and that it could take a further week after that for them to stabilise my Warfarin dose. They said that only once they had got my I&R levels right would they start thinking about letting me go back to Norfolk. Mummy and daddy seemed a bit disappointed but they understand that I need to be 100% right before I can leave London.
For lunch I finished off my Tomatoes, Baked Beans & Bacon. I ate a whole half a jar and then had 20mls of milk before the rest was put down my tube in my nose. I did really well again and wasn't sick... well not until about an hour later when my nurse came to give me all my medicines. I had Warfarin, Spironactolone, Frusemide, Rifampicin, Sytron, Captopril, Domperidone, Erythromycin, Nystatin and Oramorph. All of them go through my tube in my nose apart from the Nystatin which is to help protect my mouth from ulcers and infections but it tastes horrible and always makes me sick. I vomited all over my bed and sleepsuit so needed mummy to give me a big clean up afterwards! I smiled when I'd been sick so everyone knew I was feeling better...
Because I'd been sick I had my next milk a little earlier so daddy said I could have my chocolate pudding tomorrow as he wanted to give my tummy a rest. I was a little upset but guess he knows best. We watched In the Night Garden and I started to get sleepy when it had finished so daddy laid me down and I had a sleep.
Mummy and daddy went out to have their dinner and came back a little while later. I was fast asleep and daddy started to write my daily update for me. While he was doing it he coughed a lot (I think he's still got his man flu!) and he woke me up! So I laid quietly and watched him and kept smiling at him and mummy. Then my nurse came in to do my obs (pulse, respiratory rate, blood pressure, and temperature) and medication. I soon settled down again and went back to sleep.
