Wednesday 15th October 2008 - Mummy surprised me and daddy by getting here before either of us was awake this morning. She brought daddy his first cup of coffee in bed for weeks so daddy was very happy! I wasn't so happy because my nurse came and stabbed my foot again to test my blood but mummy made me feel lots better by cuddling me while my nurse squeezed my foot.
I had a very good day today and have done lots of things with mummy and daddy. First I ate lots of food and had some milk from my bottle without being sick. Then I had a bath for the first time in 6 weeks! I'd forgotten what bath's were like and didn't enjoy it that much, but once I'd been cleaned and dried I must admit I felt a lot better, and mummy and daddy said my feet didn't smell anymore! It was very tiring, being cleaned up, so I fell asleep once mummy had dressed me.
I also got to go out again in my pram and we went in the lift again. Mummy and daddy got a drink and we went outside for a little while. It wasn't as bright as the other day so I didn't mind as much. I wasn't allowed out for too long though as I have to have my Heparin infusion running all day. I was given an hours break from it which is why I was allowed to go out for a ride. Mummy and daddy said if I can go out again they'll take me in my own pushchair so I hope I can go again tomorrow!
When we got back the lady that likes bending me in funny positions came to see us again. She put me in even stranger positions today and I wasn't too impressed, especially when she kept moving my toys so I had to stretch to get them! But I showed her and managed to get them every time she moved them away from me. She took some more pictures of me in funny bendy positions and said she'll give them to mummy and daddy along with some instructions on how to help me get stronger. My legs are still very small and skinny though so it may take a little while before I can crawl properly but I'll get there.
After all the bending and having to chase after my toys I got very hungry and angry. I cried and mummy gave me some strawberries, peaches and cream... I think I may like that more than chocolate pudding, but don't tell daddy because he likes the chocolate pudding and we share it!
I was also weighed again today and I've gained some more weight. I now weigh 10lb 1oz. Mummy and daddy are a little puzzled though because I was weighed at 10lb 11oz not so long ago, but my nurse said that could have been a fluid weight and not my true weight. She also said that I'm gaining again and that's a good thing. I'm now asleep and daddy said he'll put my update online as soon as he can connect to the internet which has been playing up all day so sorry if it's a bit late today!
